The spine, muscle, and nervous system supports you, keeps your body stable, protects your organs, and keeps you moving. Chiropractors help ease your pain, enabling you to live the active, pain-free lives you want.
Chiropractic is a manual therapy that focuses on the musculoskeletal (MSK) system which includes muscles, joints, and nerves. On your initial appointment, you can expect a comprehensive assessment, a diagnosis, and a treatment plan that is unique to you and your condition. When pain presents itself, it is a signal that there is an imbalance in the body. The doctors use a variety of assessment tools - functional movement patterns, orthopedic tests, and palpation to determine the cause of pain or injury. Treatment options include soft tissue therapy (Active Release Techniques), Kinesio taping, spinal manipulation, and rehabilitation exercises. Our doctors are committed to getting you back to functional movement health!
Doctors of Chiropractic treat a variety of ailments including, neck pain, headaches, shoulder/rotator cuff injuries, tennis and golfers elbow, lower back pain, hip pain/injuries, knee pain, ankle sprains, and many more. Chiropractors focus on the spine, the muscle, and the nervous system, who assess, diagnose, treat and develop treatment plans to help with your pain and provide rehabilitation to re-educate your body to move optimally.
A.R.T. is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.
The doctor will talk to you about the options of treatment. Spinal manipulation/adjustment may be beneficial in some situations and not appropriate in others. Communication is key and if you have any concerns, please inform your chiropractor.
After a thorough assessment and a diagnosis is determined, the chiropractor will discuss the frequency and duration of a chiropractic treatment plan. Committing to a treatment will help in the prognosis/success of the condition you have presented with. A treatment plan is unique to each individual.
Typically not! Although some conditions can present with more sensitivity and tenderness which can increase the pain temporarily , but with the intention of decreasing over time. Chiropractic therapy will help create better muscle activation and neurological input to allow for soft tissue and joint healing.
